Patience and creativity

"As a concerned daughter of an aging father who has gone through several health ailments in the last 5 years (double bypass, prostate cancer, high blood pressure, etc), I was searching for a ritual practice that my father at age 79 could not only physically handle, but also improve upon, helping him find strength in his body and mind. Beyond strength, I was searching for something meditative for him to calm his anxieties. I approached Cidney with my concerns and hopes and he tailored a private practice based on my father's abilities and needs. I knew Cidney would have a challenge as my father is someone I would classify as a yoga skeptic. I originally approached Cidney because I knew my father needed someone who was both knowledgable, encouraging, and relatable. As a student of Cidney's, I trusted his teaching abilities as well as his approach and style. After my father's first class, it was obvious my father's mood was lifted and after the third class, my father was visibly stronger. As I was able to be present for my father's classes, Cidney also incorporated myself into certain breathing exercises and meditations alongside my father which made for shared deep moments that I will never forget. Cidney's patience and creativity paired with his unwavering dedication to his craft is both a tangible and intangible gift that I am so happy my father got to experience."  ~ M. Jamadi
